Since its historic debut in 2021, the extremely popular “The Awakening” Series has consistently pushed boundaries and surpassed expectations as both a series of cutting-edge silver rounds and as a non-traditional vehicle for controversial yet poignant ideas and commentaries about global society. Now, the much anticipated 6th release in this exclusive series is finally available for collectors and investors alike; “Decipere”.


THE DESIGN:

The coin’s obverse boldly displays two large wolves staring commandingly at the viewer while shrouded in the carcasses of the political party mascot animals; the donkey and the elephant. This is a play on the popular motif of the “wolf in sheep’s clothing,” and represents the dangerous animosity and wolf-like nature under the surface of the political parties. They stand proudly on the steps of the United States Capitol building. Along the top rim of the coin is the word “Decipere”, which is latin for “to cheat/deceive”.

The reverse design displays the all-seeing eye atop a pyramid, a pattern element to the series design. There are several inscriptions on this side besides the round’s essential hallmarks. The series name “THE AWAKENING” arches over the pyramid. A sequence of letters beneath the image represents “1776” in Roman numbers when the US declared independence from Great Britain. The banner “ANNUIT COEPTIS” is the same one found on the American Seal, meaning “God has favored our undertakings.” Lastly, the inscription “YOU CAN’T WAKE A PERSON WHO IS PRETENDING TO BE ASLEEP” surrounds the bottom rim.
